To get the most from your consultation, please bring as much information as possible regarding your condition or investigations to date, ideally making sure Mr Smith’s PA has all relevant letters, imaging and investigations reports prior to the consultation, providing time for review.
Make sure to ask all of the questions that you need at your consultation, and don’t hesitate to contact Mr Smith’s PA or CNS with any questions that may occur to you after your consultation.
There may be a Clinical Nurse Specialist present at your consultation, who can act as your key worker, and point of contact to navigate the healthcare systems and your care pathway.
A biopsy may be required for people presenting with a lump or a skin lesion, and it may be possible to perform a biopsy at the consultation. This might be determined before the consultation, by assessment of the relevant referral letters, or medical information.
Mr Smith is a member of the RMH Skin and Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT), and is a member of the Lister Hospital Skin MDT, and will discuss your case at these meetings if appropriate.
